Vancouver class to introduce art of chocolate tempering

A class that will teach the fundamentals of tempering chocolate is set to run in Vancouver in February, and in keeping with the season, it will have a Valentine’s Day theme.

The participants in the Valentine's Hearts Tempering Class will be preparing edible Boxes filled with tiny chocolate hearts, and they can choose to keep them or give them to someone they love. Masks are required to participate.

The participants will be supplied the materials they need to work with, and the facilitator will teach them how to hand paint their project and then cast them in chocolate. They will then complete the tempering process and mould small hearts to place in the larger box. They will be able to use loaner moulds provided, and milk, white and dark chocolate will all be included in the discussion. The session is limited to those age 16 and up, and the class is vegan friendly and nut free.

A workshop can be a fun way for members of the public to pick up some new techniques and skills. Promotional Products for such an activity can be ordered from area printers.

This Valentine’s Day themed introduction to the art of tempering chocolate will be on offer on February 13th. The venue for the class will be Drunken Chocolatier, located at 108-223 West Broadway in Vancouver.
