What's Happening in Vancouver, BC…

Vancouver class teaches cake decorating techniques

Most moms enjoy spending time with their child, even if they are all grown up, and a Vancouver workshop will offer a chance to do so while learning some frosting techniques.

The Mother's Day and Spring Floral cupcake workshop will teach the fundamentals of creating flowers using buttercream frosting. Both beginner and advanced bakers may benefit from the lesson, and the skills learned can be transferred to other projects.

The students will each receive a set of cupcakes to decorate, and the facilitator will walk them through the steps of creating frosting flowers. They will also offer suggestions for how the techniques can be used to create a wide assortment of personalized decorations. Tickets start at $129.13 , which includes fees and taxes, and a discount will be provided to anyone who brings a friend. A portion of the fees will be donated to the Downtown Eastside Women’s Centre.

A hands-on culinary class can be a fun way for the public to learn some new skills in a fun and supportive environment. Recipe cards, registration forms, waivers and other printed materials that can be helpful to event organizers can be prepared by stationery printers.

Joconde Patisserie Inc. will be welcoming registrants for this floral themed cake decorating class at 1167 Marinaside Creek in Vancouver on May 18th. It will start at 10:00 am.
