A course that will introduce students to still life drawing skills is welcoming registrations, and as it will be held online, it can be enjoyed from just about anywhere.
Over a course of four weeks, Vancouver residents will learn a variety of drawing techniques, using plants as their models. They will be able to use whichever flora they wish, and houseplants are highly recommended by the organizers.
Each of the classes will introduce different materials and methods, and perspective, line drawing, cross hatching, balance, gesture and flow will all be discussed. Charcoal, ink, graphite and mixed media will each be explored in their own right, and as registration covers all members of a household, the whole family can participate and learn together. Everyone is asked to supply their own scrap and mixed media paper and drawing materials, and the function has been priced so that people of all incomes can take part.
