Event to highlight Vancouvers culinary side

A group of luminaries from the culinary world will be among those who attend a fundraising affair next month that features both food and wine sourced from the local area and further afield.

It has been planned in support of BCHF, which is an organization that provides support and other assistance to those who work in the hospitality trade.

A selection of bites from 14 area restaurants will be paired with wines from 25 US wineries for the guests to enjoy. The attendees will be welcome to sample as many as they wish, and may even find a new favorite vintage.

While the guests browse through the assortment of items that will be up for bids in the silent auction, they can mingle and buy their ticket for the raffle that has been planned. Six local bartenders will be showing off their mixology skills in a competition that will see the winner crowned as champion and earn bragging rights as well.

An event like this can be a pleasant evening for those who participate. It can be made even more special if it includes custom decor and other items that can be created by an area printing services company.

May 9 has been set as the date for this chance for Vancouver residents to do a good turn for others while enjoying an occasion featuring food, friends, and fun. It will be held in the Vancouver Convention Centre East.
