The Delta Chamber of Commerce is presenting a seminar which will help its members and other local businesspersons learn about the importance of social media and how to take advantage of it to improve business success.
'Harnessing the power of social media' will be presented by Steve Dotto, who hosts and produces the show Dotto Tech. The seminar will likely draw business leaders from around the region, including nearby Richmond.
Today, some sort of presence online is all but a necessity in the world of business. This can be having as little as an email address or as much as an online community. Many people first look to the Internet when they are looking for information on a business and might overlook those who do not have a website or a social media page. Social media helps to develop a relationship between a business and its customers, gives them a place to voice concerns, to tell their friends about a great new product they have discovered, and a place to often get freebies.
While traditional advertising models are still important, and flyer printing is still very much in demand, businesses need to link their online activities to those traditional models. For example, listing website addresses and social media profiles on Business Cards or on Flyers that they send out is a useful combination.
'Harnessing the power of social media' will take place at Delta Town and Country on January 22 from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm. Tickets are $30 for chamber members and $40 for non-members.Get a Free Quote for Business Cards Get a Free Quote for Flyers
