Richmond session welcomes rescue rabbits

Some furry friends will be on hand for a special yoga session that will be held in Richmond, and all of the proceeds will be donated to a group that gives rabbits a second chance.

Rabbitats Rescue Society works to both rescue rabbits and also educate the public about their care, and it will be celebrating the Mid Autumn Festival with a Moon Rabbit Bunny Yoga gathering. Tickets are priced at $29.36, including taxes and fees, and there are various start items set.

Each session will run for 45 minutes, and while they go through their poses, the attendees can mingle with some rescue rabbits. They may even meet their “fur-ever” best friend and choose to look into adopting one into their own family. Spots are expected to fill up quickly, and the activity will be held at the Kiosk Court at Lansdowne Centre. Everyone is asked to arrive a few minutes ahead of their class start time so they can get settled in, and children are welcome to participate along with a parent or guardian.

Companion animal and wildlife rescue groups are often volunteer driven, and are true labours of love for those who run them. They tend to operate on a tight budget, and a banner printing company is often able to help meet their marketing needs.

This chance to enjoy some yoga and meet some new friends will take place on September 26th. The first session will begin at 11:00 am.
