Richmond plans plant sale fundraiser

A venue that offers a glimpse into Richmond’s past will soon be giving area gardeners a chance to fill their beds with healthy plants grown, and while they browse and buy, they will be helping to support list work.

London Farm, which is located at 6511 Dyke Road, has set the date for the London heritage Farm Society’s Plant Sale fundraiser, and it will be open throughout its scheduled weekend. It will provide a chance to pick up a gift for mom, and there will be lots to choose from.

The shoppers can fill their Boxes with annuals and perennials, and herbs will also be on offer. The hanging baskets will provide a quick and easy way to add a pop of colour, and they can also serve as "drop ins” for planters if their hangers are removed. Succulents will be in the mix, and can be an option for containers or a rock garden.

Spring pant sales can be quite popular, and they are a common sight during the season. Organizers can order signage and other marketing materials from a banner printing company, and they may be posted in advance to help build the buzz.

London Farms annual Plant Sale will open to the public at 10:00 am on May 9th, and it will continue throughout May 10th. Admission will be free of charge.
