Richmond will be rolling out the festive welcome mat for an activity that is set to bring some extra cheer to the winter holidays, and it will be filled with the sights and sounds that go hand in hand with the season.
Steveston Village will be bringing some extra sparkle to late November with its Winter in the Village event. The various activities will be held in different locations and will include traditional favourites.
Community members will gather at Fisherman's Wharf, and Santa will make his arrival by boat. Horse-drawn carriage rides will be on offer at the Tourism Richmond Self-Serve Visitor Services Kiosk, and the switch will be thrown on the Steveston Tram Museum's holiday tree and lights. Santa at the Cannery will provide opportunities for pictures with the jolly old elf, and there will be other activities as well.
Communities across Canada have special events in the works for the holiday season. A brochure printing company can craft community guides to send out to households so they can make their plans ahead of time.
Richmond will offer this afternoon of festive fun on November 29. The city's website provides a full agenda for the afternoon, including times and locations. The event is part of the larger Winter in Steveston Village program, which has events planned from November 19 until December 31.
