Unpaid caregivers need love too, and an upcoming Richmond activity will provide them with a chance to relax, recharge and get to know some other carers while they chat and make a craft.
The participants in the DIY Pom Pom Cat Workshop will be making pom pom cats to keep or give to someone they love. It is suitable for anyone, from the novice to experienced crafters, and admission is free.
The participants can choose their favourite colour pom poms, and all of the instruction needed will be provided to the group in both English and Cantonese. Financial and other support for the session comes from the Richmond Family and Friend Caregiver Hub, and is intended for unpaid daily caregivers who provide their services to seniors. It will run for two hours, and its sign up system is now open.
Taking part in a crafting class with other learners can provide an experience that is both relaxing and social. Flyer printing services for such an activity will be available for both businesses and charitable groups at local Print shops, which will be able to work with most budget levels.
The Richmond Cures Richmond Gives Caring Place will be running this workshop on Thursday, August 17th. It is located at 7000 Minoru Boulevard, and it will begin at 10:30 am.
