A parenting workshop for those who wish to learn the techniques of mindful parenting will soon be held in Richmond, and anyone who feels it could be of benefit to them is invited to participate.
The workshop will provide an introduction to the techniques of mindful parenting, and each participant will walk away with a set of tools they can use with their child. There will be information provided about the topic from a neuroscience perspective, including how it can influence a child’s emotions and behaviors.
Along with the discussion of the biological roots of a child’s behavior, the attendees will learn more about mindfulness and how it can help mothers and fathers parent more effectively. They will be provided with a set of exercises that can aid them in this, and there will also be information given about the “Mindful Parent Resilient Child” program, which will run for nine weeks. Brochures that provide more details about this learning opportunity can be sourced from a printer that offers online printing services.
There is no fee being charged to take part in the workshop, and it will be held on February 2nd starting at 9:30 am. It will be held at Richmond Public Health, which is located at 8100 Granville Avenue in Richmond.
