Richmond welcomes return of Garlic Fest

Garlic is a culinary herb enjoyed all over the world, and an upcoming Richmond festival will put it front and centre.

The 15th annual Richmond Garlic Fest will soon be popping up at Richmond Nature Park, and it is being held in support of the Sharing Farm. It tends to attract thousands of attendees, and locally grown garlic and other produce will be the stars of the show.

The festival goers will be treated to a variety of experiences, including demonstrations of birds of prey. A children’s area, farmers’ market and food booths are in the works, and there will be an assortment of fare featuring garlic available. Demos of natural dyes and garlic braiding, as well as farm tours and a pollinator walking workshop are all on the agenda too. Live entertainment will take place, and admission is by donation. The suggested amount is $5.00 per person, and the monies will be used to support the work undertaken by the Sharing Farm.

Summer and fall festivals are often held outdoors so they can take advantage of the pleasant weather. Banner printing companies can craft a variety of materials that are equitable for use outside.

The 2025 Richmond Garlic Fest will bring food , friends and fun to the city on August 16th. It will be held at 11851 Westminster Highway. The festivities will start at 10:00 am and wrap up at 3:00 pm.
