Richmond walkers invited to local outing

A Richmond program is set to start a new series of walking outings throughout the community.

Walking can be an ideal exercise, no matter what a person's fitness level may be. It allows an individual to go at their own pace and enjoy the scenery. All ages are invited to participate in the Walk Richmond excursion, which has been planned for King George Park.

Those who wish to participate will gather at the Cambie Community Center’s main entrance, and will set out at 10:00am.

The route that the walkers will follow will wind its way through the urban park, which is 30 acres in size. The group will visit the community gardens and view the waterplay area, and while they go, they will be invited to chat and get to know one another.

At the end of the excursion, participants will be invited to visit the Richmond Library pop-up information table, Here, they will discover information about the institution as well as the programs and classes it has to offer. Leaflets and other publications from a brochure printing company can be distributed to anyone who stops by a display like this to ask for more information.

This outdoor walking event will be offered to the public on January 5th. Anyone with questions has been asked to contact 604-802-4399.
