The BC SPCA and Scotiabank will be joining forces in Richmond to help animals in need, and the public is invited to come out and join in the fun.
A variety of activities have been planned for the day. Kids can enjoy the bounce castles and register their bikes with the RCMP. There will also be booths set up by local animal welfare groups such as Richmond Reptile Rescue and Rabbitats, and a barbecue where vegan foods and SPCA certified meats will take centre stage. Music will be supplied for JRfm, which will be live onsite for the day.
A awareness walk will also be held on the same afternoon. People are encouraged to show their support by engaging in fundraising, and those who collect the most in their respective categories will be presented with a prize for their efforts. This includes individual, team, and youth fundraising. A banner printing company can produce Signs, decorations and other items for special events such as this.
Pets, whether they are furry, feathery or something altogether different, are welcome to attend along with their human companion, so long as they are on a leash.
Paws for a Cause will take place in Garry Point Park on September 11. The vendor booths and registration will open at 11:00 am, with the walk scheduled to start at 1:00 pm.
Further details are available on the event’s website.
