Richmond offered life-saving opportunity

Richmond residents have been offered an opportunity to potentially save someone’s life, and everyone is asked to roll up their sleeves and pitch in.

A blood donation drive is scheduled to be held in the gymnasium at St. Paul parish, and it will be organized and manned by the British Columbia branch of Canadian Blood Services. Anyone who would like to make a donation will need to reserve their space ahead of time.

When they arrive at the venue, the donors will be greeted and registered, and when they are ready, a member of the donor staff, who will be trained in phlebotomy, will perform the procedure. This usually takes between 5 and 10 minutes, and afterwards, the participants can rest and enjoy some light refreshments and cookies before then heading out to enjoy the rest of their day.

A blood donation clinic like this gives the public a chance to make a real difference in the lives of others. A poster printing company will be able to help spread the word throughout the local community about upcoming events such as this.

This blood donation drive will be on offer in Richmond on August 3rd. Anyone who would like to book a time slot can do so by visiting the Canadian Blood Services website, using the GiveBlood app or calling the organizers.
