Richmond getting ready to party Canada 150 style

Richmond will be holding a special night to help mark Canada’s 150th year as a nation, and everyone is welcome to join in the fun.

King George Park Gathering Place will see people from all across the community and beyond come together to enjoy the activities that have been planned for the occasion. There will be an assortment of old-fashioned games set up for the evening, and there will also be live performances to keep the crowd tapping their toes.

A variety of community groups and others will have booths set up for the public to browse through, and there will be lots of time for those who come out to mingle with their neighbors and get to know each other a little bit better.

The movie that was selected for the evening will be ‘Anne of Green Gables’, which is a well-known Canadian novel about an orphaned girl growing up in PEI. Signs for an event like this can be both designed and produced by a local printing company.

Everyone is welcome to come out and participate in this free community event that will celebrate the country’s 150th birthday. It will be held on August 16 from 5:30 until 10:30. There will be no fee charged to participate, and further information can be found on its Richmond website listing.
