Richmond gardeners are about to gain access to a special secret weapon thanks to a local pop-up plant sale.
Richmond Garden Club will soon be helping to add a touch of green to the city when it welcomes local gardeners at its 2024 plant sale. Paulik Neighbourhood Park has been chosen to act as the venue for the morning, and those who arrive early will get the best selection.
The shoppers will be invited to choose from a wide variety of annuals and perennials, and hanging baskets will be available as well. Vegetable starts will be in the mix, and there will be Master Gardeners on hand to answer questions and offer advice to the crowd. Anyone who needs their tools sharpened can access this service on site, and soil nutrients may be purchased as well to help give new gardens a good start.
Garden clubs often host pop-up plant markets as both fundraisers and as community service projects. A banner printing company can prepare reusable signage that can withstand being outdoors in the rain, wind, and sun while still looking good.
This chance for Richmond residents to bring some extra green to their yard, balcony, or other planting area is scheduled for May 11th. It will be open for shopping from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm.
