Richmond first responders to head back to the classroom

A seminar that will put the spotlight on labour relations will soon be on offer to Richmond police officers and firefighters who perform management functions, and it will offer a lot of information in a short amount of time.

Richmond’s Executive Airport Plaza will serve as the venue for this year’s Greater Vancouver Fire Chiefs' Association Labour Relations Seminar, and it will be the third year for the event. It is designed to be an economical choice for fire and police departments, and is being billed as offering a lot of information at a budget-friendly price.

During the two-day symposium, the delegates will be invited to learn about a variety of topics related to labour relations, and they can add some new best practices to their own toolkit. They can also network with other first responders and talk about the issues that are impacting them and the industry as a whole.

As there will be new people to meet, those who plan on attending this sort of function may want to be sure they have plenty of Business Cards at the ready to hand out to anyone who asks for their contact details.

Now in its third year, the seminar been scheduled for February 25 and 26, a Tuesday and Wednesday. The program has been developed by FireWise Learning Academy.
