Garlic is one of the crops cultivated in the Richmond area, and an upcoming festival will put this herb front and centre.
The Richmond Garlic Fest is right around the corner for the community, and it promises to be a fun-filled occasion. The festivities have taken place for the past 12 years, and along with offering lots of ways to have a great time, it will highlight the issue of food insecurity and how the public can help.
The celebration is anticipated to draw thousands of attendees, and the schedule includes a demonstration by live birds of prey, an area set up for the enjoyment of the kids in the crowd and lots of food trucks. A farmers’ market will give a boost to the area’s agricultural sector, and garlic will be featured throughout the event. The proceeds will be donated to the Sharing Farm.
Poster printing and other promotional services can help to get the word out about an outdoor event or festival like this one, and these will be on offer at local printers.
This year's Richmond Garlic Fest will be giving the community and its visitors a reason to celebrate this humble herb on Sunday, August 20th at 2771 Westminster Highway. It will run from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm, and it will welcome all ages.
