The Steveston Salmon Festival has a long history of celebrating one of the area’s top natural resources, and it will once again be giving the community an excuse to head outdoors for some summertime fun.
This event, which is the largest function of its kind to be held in the community, is expected to attract thousands of attendees. It will also serve as a happy birthday to Canada, and the fun will get started in the morning hours.
The plans for the day open with a parade, and once the procession has come and gone, the festival grounds will open. Live musical entertainment is on the agenda, and there will be cultural and historical programming as well. The foodies in the crowd will be treated to the popular salmon BBQ and festival chow mein, and a horticultural show and other experiences are all also on the agenda.
To help make the festivities a true community builder, local small businesses and not-for-profit groups have been invited to set up shop in the trade show area. Organizations that take part in such festivals sometimes choose to distribute Promotional Products to the crowd to spread brand awareness.
