As Richmond gears up for another summer season, many of its businesses, civic buildings, and not-for-profit groups will be participating in a day that will offer the inside scoop on the community.
The city will be welcoming the return of Doors Open Richmond, an event which has come to be a local favourite. The program both raises civic awareness and exposes community members to a wide range cultural offerings, and in 2024, at least 39 sites are on the list.
Local residents and visitors alike may be part of the program, and while some locations ask that the public register their interest in advance, most of the participating venues will be welcoming drop-in visits. Businesses, places of work, cultural centres, heritage sites, and museums are all on the list, and a full roster will be released closer to the event’s scheduled date to help make it easier for those who are interested to plan their day.
Communities all over North America host Doors Open-style events. A brochure printing company can prepare maps and other informational materials to hand out to the public during a special event.
Doors Open Richmond will be offering sneak peek into the hidden side of the city on June 8th and 9th. Its website provides further details for any members of the public who would like to get involved.
