This holiday season, an event will give the public an opportunity to help put a smile on the face of a child in need. The Richmond Christmas Fund Drive-Thru Event makes it easy to donate to the cause, and each person who chooses to do so will receive a special thank you.
On the day of the drive, Brighouse Firehall No.1 will have a drop-off station set up, which will be manned by firefighters and other community volunteers. Those who are on their way to work, shuttling their kids to school, or just out running errands can include this event in their plans for the morning, and they can either stay and enjoy the fun or simply drop off their contribution.
During the drive thru, people can deposit unwrapped new toys and cash donations, and in turn they will receive a complimentary muffin and coffee, which will be supplied by McDonald’s. The contributions will be gathered and then distributed to families that could use some extra cheer during the holidays.
A fundraiser like this usually depends on the support of the public to be a success. Spreading the word can help make that happen, and the marketing staff at a local printing services company can help.
