Richmond’s green thumbs, both aspiring and seasoned alike, may find that the upcoming fundraiser planned by Urban Bounty will have lots to offer.
The organization has scheduled its annual Spring Fling and Compost Fundraiser, which will take place at its office located at 7611 Ash Street in Richmond. Those who are interested don't need to register ahead of time, but anyone who would like to ensure there is enough compost available for them may want to pre-order theirs in advance.
Along with the chance to score some purpose made soil amendments, the function will supply a sneak peek into Urban Bounty and its community service projects. An information table, kids’ area and seed library tables are all on the agenda, along with tours run by a local garden club. Anyone who has extra seeds to share is encouraged to bring them along for donation. The compost will be bagged and available for pickup on site. Once collected, attendees can use compost to grow healthy and happy plants in area gardens.
Not-for-profit community gatherings and Print shops may choose to work in tandem for events such as this. These companies can provide their clients with the printing services they require, while keeping on budget.
The Urban Bounty Spring Fling and Compost Fundraiser will be held on Saturday, April 29. The Bags of compost can be pre ordered for $15.00 each.
