Handcrafted decor can provide the final touch to a holiday display, and a Richmond area workshop will offer a setting where members of the public can meet and craft together.
The ‘Twas the Decor Before Christmas workshop series will teach the fundamentals of floral design, and will give those who participate a chance to prepare a festive table centrepiece. There will be four themed sessions to choose from, and each will feature its own theme, with all the necessary supplies provided.
The first class will create items that capture the sparkle of the season, while the second may be a suitable fit for those who prefer a more modern look. Stargazers may wish to opt for the third evening, as the theme for the workshop will be stars and the Northern Lights, and the final class will get back to nature and use materials with a rustic look and feel.
To help prevent the spread of COVID-19, only six people will be permitted to take part in each workshop, and mocktails will be served. Printed instructions can be supplied to each learner in this sort of activity so they can keep on crafting at home, and local Print shops are able to offer items like these.
ROA Floral and Event Designs will be hosting these in-person workshops on November 17th and 24th, as well as December 1st and 15th. Tickets are $319.28 each, and they can be purchased through the Eventbrite listing.
