June is the time for golf in Richmond

Richmond’s Golf enthusiasts are gearing up for a summer of fun as three tournaments are taking place in the area next month.

The events include the ALS Memorial Golf Tournament, the Richmond Hospital Golf Tournament and the 30th annual Richmond Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament.

The ALS Memorial tournament will feature a champagne brunch, a gourmet dinner, auctions, and an awards presentation. Proceeds will go to support the ALS Society of BC and the George Sonny Williams Memorial Endowment. Tickets for the golf game have sold out but tickets for the dinner are still available.

The Richmond Hospital tournament will feature refreshments and restaurant stations throughout the course. There will also be prizes, contests, dinner and an awards presentation. Proceeds go to the Richmond Hospital Foundation.

The Richmond Chamber of Commerce tournament includes lunch, a banquet, and awards presentations. Sponsorships of $400 for a hole and $285 for a half-hole are on offer.

No doubt organizers of the tournaments will be working with Richmond printing companies to produce materials to raise awareness.

The ALS Memorial Golf Tournament will take place at the Richmond Country Club on June 4 from 11:00am - 10:00pm. For information on the cost of dinner tickets, call 604-278-2257.

The Richmond Hospital Golf Tournament will also take place at the Richmond Country Club on June 12. Fees are $400 for individuals or $1,600 for a foursome; dinner only tickets are $100. For more information, call 604-244-5252.

The Richmond Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament will take place at the Mayfair Lakes Golf and Country Club on June 24. Golf fees are $235 for individuals.
