Delicacies, sounds and entertainment from around the world will come together next month at the inaugural Richmond World Festival.
The event will feature a headline music artist, cultural dance performances, an international food truck festival, a global sports zone and much more. Richmond is a city of many different cultures, so hosting the event is one way to celebrate this diversity.
There will be a designated children’s zone with age-appropriate activities, so the whole family is encouraged to come. Event officials have decided that admission will be free so it is easy for anyone to attend.

Since the festival was first announced last year, city officials debated over its name. Other names that were reportedly in the running included Richmond World Block Party and Lulubaloo - but it was the simplicity of Richmond World Festival that won the votes.
This family-friendly festival is being held on September 5, 2015 between 11 a.m. and 10 p.m. in Minoru Park.
