The 3rd annual Best Catch Sustainable Seafood Festival will be taking place in Richmond next month.
The aim of the festival is to promote healthy waterways and by extension, healthier seafood. Several exhibitors will be on hand to help educate the public about how to become more sustainable, and to protect the livelihood of those in the industry.
Among the exhibitors to show up at last year's festival were the David Suzuki Foundation, the Marine Stewardship Council, and the Living Oceans Society; all three are expected to return this year.
In addition, there will also be food tastings, cooking demonstrations, and live music all day. It should be a great day out for everyone in the family to enjoy and learn about sustainability.
Currently, organizers are still looking for both vendors and volunteers to help run the event. Volunteers will be providing tours of the cannery and manning the gift show, in addition to many other tasks.
Organizations that plan to exhibit at the Richmond event may have already contacted their favorite printing company to provide them with printed materials such as Flyers.
The Best Catch Sustainable Seafood Festival is being held on the Gulf of Georgia Cannery National Historic Site from 11:00am - 4:00pm on September 14th. Admission is free. To find out more, contact Karen Lee at 604-664-9282.Get a Free Quote for Flyers
