Arts aplenty in Richmond

Everyone in Richmond has the opportunity to discover the sights and sounds of the many cultures that make up the city of Richmond at this year’s Culture Days.

Various community groups and organizations invite people from all walks of life to enjoy themselves and experience something new, and guests will have the opportunity to experience different types of cultural arts.

There are plenty of different activities for everyone to enjoy. The Lapidary Studio is hosting a ‘design your own street banner’ activity. Participants can either take their completed banner home or submit it to the Richmond Street Banner Contest. There will also be a photography workshop that teaches people to have fun taking interesting photos with their digital cameras, using simple techniques to perfect the images. Various types of printing help make these events successful. Everything from promotional materials to Brochures and maps of the events across the city need to be printed, usually by local Print companies, to help make sure the event runs smoothly.

Culture Days in a national, nonprofit organization that aims to build a network of cultural connections that provide opportunities to learn, participate in, and ultimately appreciate the many Forms of arts and culture across the country.

The organization works with local artists, groups, and organizations to connect with others around Canada and engage Canadians. For the sixth consecutive year, numerous events are happening in cities across Canada at the same time. This year, there are more than 700 cities participating.

The event will run between September 25 and September 27 at different locations around the city. Admission is free.
