The Rogers Hometown Hockey series will make its long-awaited visit to North Vancouver this April, its final stop of this season.
The event is a family-friendly celebration of hockey that stretches across a weekend. The central event will be a live outdoor viewing of a NHL game between the Philadelphia Flyers and Chicago Blackhawks, set to be hosted by Sportsnet personalities Tara Slone and Ron Maclean. Individuals and businesses are encouraged to take part in the spirit by wearing hockey jerseys, decorating homes and storefronts, and putting hockey-related photos on social media. The series was originally set to visit North Vancouver in the spring of 2020 but has been delayed over two years for public health reasons.
In addition to the outdoor screening, there will be a weekend-long street festival involving appearances from NHL alumni, live performances, vendors, and hockey-related activity. Festivals like this provide a great opportunity for local businesses and organizations to get noticed, often using tools like Promotional Products and live demonstrations to get noticed. Parts of Hometown Hockey events are typically recorded and aired alongside the game on Sportsnet to give a national television audience a sense of the hockey culture in smaller cities and towns such as North Vancouver.
Hometown Hockey will visit the city of North Vancouver between April 23 and 25, with the street festival taking place on East 1st Street in Lower Lonsdale and the live broadcast at the Font of Lonsdale on the afternoon of the 25th.Get a Free Quote for Promotional Products Get a Free Quote for Flyers
