Canyon Lights to return to North Vancouver

One of North Vancouver’s most memorable holiday experiences will be returning this December, as the Capilano Suspension Bridge will be festooned with lights for the 15th year running.

The display, commonly known as Canyon Lights, is set to be expanded this year to feature thousands of lights on the bridge and surrounding rainforest. The surrounding park will host a number of walking experiences and attractions throughout the month. These include the “Arc de Lumina” light tunnel, a Treetops Adventure on a series of suspended bridges situated 110 feet above the forest floor, and a scavenger hunt aimed at families. The park will also feature eight of the tallest Christmas trees in the world.

This year’s walks will offer a more intimate experience, with small groups allowed to reserve tickets for a particular timed entry. As in past years, admission will contribute to the BC Professional Fire Fighters’ Burn Fund. Over the years, the attraction has raised $381,000 to help support burn survivors and provide fire awareness in schools.

Natural attractions like this often use poster printing and other advertising tools to help attract visitors.

Canyon Lights is set to take place at the Capilano Suspension Bridge and the surrounding area between December 1 and January 3. For the best availability, visitors are encouraged to book on a weeknight before December 18.
