When it comes to workplace safety, employers have an obligation to ensure they practice due diligence, and a Langley workshop will help perform this important piece of risk management.
Valley First Aid Training will be offering its “Workplace Due Diligence” course in November, and those who successfully complete the session will walk away with a greater understanding of this area. It will be a deep dive into the subject, and the responsibilities of everyone involved will be discussed.
The class will be taught through a combination of group work, case studies, and question and answer sessions, and the topics covered will range from the meaning of due diligence all the way to how different methods of communication can be used to ensure workplaces are safe. The learners will discover the four-step process of determining if reasonable care is being practiced, and the registration fee for this four-hour workshop is $150.
One of the advantages of taking part in this learning opportunity is that those who do so will receive a Due Diligence checklist they can use in their own place of employment. Printed items like these can be prepared by an area printing services company.
November 5 has been set as the date for this workshop and it will begin at 8:00 am. The registration fee includes a workbook, and it will be held at 101 20540 Duncan Way in Langley.
