Langley amateur mycologists and other fungi fans and those who enjoy craft beer alike may want to be part of a local activity that will combine sipping with a mushroom stroll.
Late October will see Locality Brewing welcome registrants for an event that will introduce them to the fungi that call local forests home. It will not be a foraging excursion, and tickets are $40.00 each.
The walk will depart from the venue, and an experienced guide is set to lead the way. The attendees will learn about the various species of fungi spotted as they go, and they will learn why they are so important to local ecosystems. The group will then return to the brewery where they will be treated to a complimentary beer along with some light snacks. The event will begin in the late morning, and tickets can be reserved in advance.
Nature-focused events may call for basic field guides, recording sheets and other custom designed materials, and Stationery printers will be pleased to help. They can also provide promotional Pens so it will be easy for the participants to jot down any notes they wish to keep.
Locality Brewing has scheduled its Malt and Mushrooms walk and talk for October 25th. It will depart from 7111 252 Street at 11:00 am, and the brewery’s website includes both a registration link and further details.
