Workshop offered for Sherwood Park parents

Moms and dads who would like to add some extra techniques to their toolbox when it comes to coping with anxiety in a child can learn more during a workshop scheduled for Sherwood Park.

This free learning opportunity will explore the roots of anxiety in children, as well as how to break the cycle that can surround this emotion. The parents in attendance can also connect with one another and build a support network, and the start time for the activity is 6:00 pm sharp.

Along with a discussion of anxiety, the attendees will discuss emotional regulation in kids, and there will be lots of tips shared so that they can choose the ones that are most appropriate for their child. The registrants are asked to indicate the age of the child or children when they sign up.

Attending a workshop like this can be a first step for mothers and fathers who want to create a supportive environment for their son or daughter. Supplying the learners with materials such as workbooks, tip sheets and parenting Journals can help them to make the most of the occasion, and these can be paired with promotional Pens to hand out to the students.

This session, which has been organized by Strathcona County, will be on offer on December 11. It will be held at 501 Festival Avenue.
