Small Business Week takes place every October in communities all over Canada. Alberta is no exception, and there are several events planned in the city of Sherwood Park.
Two are to be presented by the Sherwood Park and District Chamber of Commerce.
The first one will be a kick-off symposium. It is set to feature keynote speakers Angus Watt and Dale Wishewan, as well as a panel discussion. The event is open to everyone.
The next event taking place during the week will be the Chamber's Business Awards Dinner and Gala, which will consist of a cocktail reception for finalists and sponsors only, a meal and ceremonial toast, and the awards presentation. Some of the awards that will be handed out are for Business of the Year, Environmental Protection and Occupational Safety, and Newsmaker of the Year.
Often, Sherwood Park printing companies will donate their services to events such as these to help advertise them. This can include Flyers or Invitations.
The symposium will take place at the Community Centre on October 20th from 8:00am - 11:00am. Tickets are $15.
The Business Awards Dinner and Gala will be held at the Holiday Inn Sherwood Park on October 24th from 6:00pm - 10:00pm. Tickets cost $75 each or $525 for a table of eight.
