Having a baby can be exciting, but it can also be a daunting prospect, and an Edmonton event will help expecting parents to gain confidence in their ability to care for their newborn.
During the Virtual Newborn Care Essentials workshop, which is being offered thanks to support from Edmonton Area Family Doulas, future moms and dads will learn what to expect once they bring their bundle of joy home. It will be packed with tips and information, and it will be held online using the Zoom platform.
During the four-hour class, which will be facilitated by a Certified Postpartum and Infant Care doula, the attendees will discover how to interpret their baby’s cries, along with how to comfort and soothe them using a variety of techniques. They will also find out which sleeping position is best for their little one, and everyone who participates will walk away with a wealth of advice, as well as a list of learning materials.
Local registrants will have a course package delivered to their home. Items like these are often full of learning materials, which can be crafted by a brochure printing company.
This opportunity for new parents to hit the ground running will be offered on June 12th. A registration link, as well as more details, have been made available to the public on its Facebook listing.
