The Edmonton Chamber welcomes new members

The Edmonton Chamber of Commerce will be holding a member reception at the World Trade Centre next month. The member reception is held yearly to celebrate new chamber members and offers free samples of beer, hors d'oeuvres, and a cash bar.

Those in attendance will learn how to take advantage of their chamber membership, discover the programs and services offered it, and will have to opportunity to meet their fellow chamber members. Many businesses, especially small and medium-sized ones, get a lot out of a chamber membership. It offers them the opportunity to meet their fellow Edmonton business peers, take part in committees, sign up for educational workshops and seminars, attend social and fundraising events, and gives them a voice within local government. Small business owners tend to find that they also find businesses that they can work with and add to their referral network through their membership of the local chamber.

Taking place in relaxed settings, attending businesspeople will also find out what steps the chamber is taking to promote a better business environment. This will be an excellent networking opportunity for Edmonton Chamber of Commerce members. Many who will be attending will no doubt be arranging for business card printing services in advance, making sure that their cards are up-to-date and that they have plenty to go round.

The reception is scheduled for December 5 from 5:00 pm - 7:30 pm. Admission is free but members must register in advance. For more information, call 780-426-4620 or visit the Edmonton Chamber of Commerce website.
