The Chamber Ball is almost here

The 2012 Chamber Ball of the Edmonton Chamber of Commerce will take place at the Shaw Conference Centre on February 3 from 6-11:30 pm. Tickets are $199 and attire is black tie/business formal.

Musical guests for the event will be Tom Cochrane with Red Rider and George Blondheim and the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra. The Chamber Ball will honour the outgoing chairman Bernie Kollman and welcome his successor Ken Barry.

In addition, the Northern Lights Award of Distinction will be awarded to John and Bunny Ferguson. The award honours “individuals and organizations which have made a positive and lasting difference in our community.” This year’s winners have done a lot for charity in Edmonton which included a 2011 climb of Mount Kilmanjaro to raise money for the Royal Alexandra Hospital. Both John and Bunny Ferguson have received the Order of Canada.

The Chamber Ball is the biggest event of the business social calendar; 1500 people have turned up in the past to enjoy top notch entertainment and to network with their peers.
