This summer, a road in Edmonton will once again be turned into a block-sized party that offers a novel way to beat the heat.
Water provider EPCOR will bring Slide the City back to the area. It was a big hit last year, attracting nearly 7,000 sliders, and the hope is that this year will be even bigger and better. Its planned location will put it in a place where people can enjoy views of the scenic river valley, and when they are not sliding, there will be plenty of other activities to enjoy.
Along with the 1,000-foot long slide, there will be live music, a market area for vendors, food, street entertainers and much more. Banners, Signs and other decorations for use during special events such as this can be provided by a Print company using materials that can withstand being splashed as people enjoy the ride.
The event will begin at 9:00 am on July 23rd on Victoria Park Road. Passes can be purchased online, and a variety of options are available, with the prices starting at $10.00. All those over the age of 5 and who are at least 46 inches tall are welcome to slide.
