The fashion show will feature models with Downs Syndrome and local celebrities. It will be the perfect opportunity for those who have not had much exposure to those with Downs Syndrome to see that they are capable of doing anything so-called “normal” people can do; it will show them that those who have the syndrome are just like them and share the same love of fashion that they do. It also gives those who are living with Downs Syndrome pride in their abilities knowing they can be a part of this event. Fashion is for everyone; we all wear clothes and we all want to know about the latest fashions.
In addition to the fashion show, there will be a champagne and “interactive food" reception. Edmonton printing companies have most likely been very busy helping the organizers of the gala prepare the various decorations such as Banners, Posters and other advertising materials necessary to promote the event.
The Edmonton Downs Syndrome Society has a mission:
“to establish a centre of excellence dedicated to supporting individuals with Downs Syndrome in all areas of their lives from birth to death.”
