Delta Hotels and Resorts recently made an announcement that will help to bring even more visitors to Edmonton’s arena district development.
The new hotel, which will be a four star, full service facility, will be the first of its kind to be constructed in the city in the past 30 years. According to the CEO of the Delta chain, placing it in this development makes sense, as it one of the largest in North America.
The plans for the area include mixed-use zones that will contain an urban village with restaurants, shops, attractions, and entertainment. There will also be the new, upscale hotel, condos and apartments, and a public plaza.
The planned 62-storey combination of office and residential space will be the tallest building in the city, and there will also be a new facility to house the city’s staff offices.
