Carpenters and other artisans were recently given an opportunity to display some their best work to those who might otherwise not get a chance to see it.
MoJo Designs hosted the event, which gave these craftspeople a chance to show off just what local artisans can do. The pieces were made from materials such as mahogany, barn wood, and even from reclaimed sources such as old ammunition Boxes. They ranged for benches to mirrors and even sculptures, all made locally.
The show was a one time only pop-up event, and the pieces were meant to be examples of just what the woodworkers can do. Though their items were not for sale, their makers were on hand to meet the public and talk about their work. They also took orders for custom-built furniture and other items.
Most of the craftspeople who had their work on display do not have a store from which they operate; rather, they take orders from clients and construct pieces to suit their needs. An even like this helped to get the word out about this community of local artisans, and the high quality work that they do. These are not things that can be found at mass produced ‘big box’ stores.
Companies that provide business card printing services can play a role in this type of event. Those who display samples of their work can have them at the ready to hand out to people who come by. This will make it much easier for them to contact them in the future.Get a Free Quote for Boxes
