Edmonton venue to host Halloween market

Early October will see a pop-up market opened for Edmonton shoppers in need of some “retail therapy”.

The Original Edmonton Witches Market will be running its Halloween Edition, and it promises to be full of spooky fun. It will be open for two days, and at least 40 vendors will be setting up shop both inside and outside the venue. With some luck, residents may be able to get a good head start on their winter holiday shopping.

The shoppers will be able to browse through a wide assortment of handmade items, and there will be workshops on offer as well. Wanderlust Kitchen will have a cafe on site so everyone can enjoy a freshly brewed cup of java, and they will also have baked treats. A pop-up tattoo shop, spooky photo shoot and costume contest are all in the works. The kids in the crowd can shell out at the vendor booths and, while pets are welcome, their owners are responsible for their behaviour.

Community markets may be quite popular, giving the public an easy way to support local small businesses. To thank Edmonton for its support of the event, the first 20 guests to arrive will receive a gift bag stuffed with an assortment of Corporate Gifts and other swag.

The Bellevue Community League will be hosting its Halloween Edition on Saturday, October 7 and Sunday, October 8.
