A garden suite can be a housing option for Edmonton residents who are looking for an alternative to an apartment or condo. A tour has been arranged to offer an introduction to these living spaces, and it will be taking place in November.
The tour has been designed to offer an introduction to the variety of garden suites available in the city and inspire residents to install one on their own property. These units are often situated in a private home’s backyard, and must have their own sleeping and living spaces, as well as a bathroom and kitchen.
The self-guided experience will include six stops, and at each of these, the participants will be able to talk with the property owner or builder to get their input on owning a garden suite. They can also see the inside of the unit to get inspiration and design ideas for their own property. Tickets are $30 each, and kids who are 12 and under can come along free of charge.
The organizers of this opportunity noted that about two or three days before the event, Booklets will be sent out to each ticket holder that includes a map of the tour. Items like these can be readily produced by a brochure printing company.
