Edmonton is a community where all are welcome, and an event that’s been planned in honour of Open Streets Edmonton will celebrate its diversity.
The organizers of the Human Pride Flag gathering have invited everyone to take part in an activity that will bring members of its LGBTQ2S+ community, as well as its allies and supporters, together. Participants will stand together to create a living Rainbow Flag, and it will draw attention to the importance of creating a city where everyone feels they belong.
All ages are welcome to join in this gathering, and the flag will be organized as people arrive. Once everyone is ready, a photo will be taken, and this will be followed by a dance party and other activities during the Open Streets Edmonton festival.
When individuals interested in being part of the flag register, they will be asked to choose which colour tee they wish to wear.
