Edmonton plans commercial paint drop-off day

One of the ways commercial painters and other businesses can be good corporate citizens is by disposing of their unused paints properly, and the Edmonton Waste Management Centre wants to help.

The organization has scheduled two free Paint Recycling Drop Off Days for the city, and it is restricted to painters, decorators and other businesses. The activity will run for five hours on both dates, and the collection point will be located at 250 Aurum Road North East.

The project will see leftover paints, including spray paints, buckets and empty cans, dropped off and collected, and there is no limit to the number that will be accepted. Staff will set aside any paint that can be recycled for future use, and all items must be stored in their original containers and be clearly labelled.

To date, the city’s Paint Recycling Program has been very successful. Spreading the word to a city’s corporate community can be made easier with assistance from a flyer printing company, It can prepare mailers and other materials that provide details about an activity, including how, when and where its target audience can get involved.

These free Paint Recycling Drop Off Days are scheduled for October 20th and November 17th. The online listing provides additional information for those who would like to take advantage of the opportunity.
