Winters in Edmonton are known for their bone-chilling temperatures, but thanks to an upcoming event, the city will be heating up with excitement this January.
The annual Deep Freeze festival, which is being presented courtesy of Arts on the Ave, will be a cultural celebration that any age can enjoy. There will be lots of fun activities on offer, and there are a variety of ways for community members to get involved.
The two days of activities will include a day dedicated to Ukrainian culture, as well as a day that highlights the city’s Francophone background. First Nations performances will run throughout the weekend, and with music, food, games and other activities all on the agenda, it is expected that this will be the “do not miss” event of the season.
The organizers of the gathering would like to hear from community members who would be interested in volunteering during the function, and sponsors are also being sought. Organizers of events like this often order Promotional Products that can be given to event supporters to thank them for making it a success.
The Deep Freeze: A Byzantine Winter Festival will be bringing some extra warmth to this coming winter on January 11th and 12th. The official website will be updated with additional details as soon as they become available.
