Edmonton families invited to tropical dance party

A grassroots level community service group has undertaken the task of raising funds for an Edmonton playground, and it has plans in the works for a party with a tropical flair.

The Soraya Hafez Community Playground will benefit from the funds raised during the Tropical Dance Party that will take place in the gymnasium at the school located at 980 McConnachie Boulevard. Everyone is invited to don their favourite Hawaiian style shirt or other breezy summer attire, and the celebration will be family friendly.

Those on the guest list for the occasion will be able to hit the dance floor, and there will be lots of other fun to be had. Attendees can visit the photo booth, have their face painted and show off their skills in the dance games. Door prize draws will be on the agenda as well. A concession area will be available, and there will be wearable Promotional Products on offer for purchase.

The listing for the party explained that while it will be fun for families, children will need to be accompanied by an adult. The proceeds will be used to purchase equipment and help construct the future playground.

This evening of fun for the community will be kicking off at 5:00 pm on June 7th. Tickets may be purchased by visiting its online listing. Tickets are priced from $4 to $7 each.
