As a northern city, Edmonton knows how to make the most of the winter season, and one of its neighbourhoods has invited one and all to be part of its upcoming festival.
For one day in February, the Royal Gardens Community league will be hosting Winterfest, and there will be fun on offer for people of all ages to enjoy.
The plans for the occasion include fire pits and s’more stations, and if the weather cooperates, the participants will be treated to horse-drawn sleigh rides. Hot chocolate will be served, and the kids can enjoy getting active in the snow games area. There will be lots of photo opportunities to be had, and it will also provide community members with the chance to meet and get to know their neighbours.
Community events like this one often take place outdoors, and any decor materials used will need to be able to withstand the weather. A banner printing company will be happy to help, and can offer a range of choices, with options to suit almost any budget.
The Royal Gardens Community League, which can be found at 4030 117 Street Northwest, will be the venue for this snow-filled celebration. Winterfest will kick off at 1:00 pm on February 18th, and the festivities will keep on going until 4:00 pm.
