Those who call Edmonton home may want to include time in their schedule for a special event that can bring a sense of peace to their December plans.
The Kurimoto Japanese Garden will offer an oasis of quiet, and luminaries, candles and other gentle sources of light will add to the overall peacefulness of the setting. They can stop by the Memory Lane section of the garden to light a candle in memory of a loved one, and there will be other activities as well.
The paths of the garden will be lit by hundreds of flickering candles, and the guests can warm their hearts and hands with Mugs of hot apple cider. They can also join the gatherings by the bonfires, and a capella entertainers will be strolling through the grounds, singing some holiday favourites.
A feature of Luminaria that tends to be especially popular is the snow sprites hidden among the ice sculptures that will be installed for the occasion. Banners, Signs, and inexpensive Promotional Products can all be prepared for this sort of function by local printers, and these can will help to make it an event to remember.
This year’s Luminaria celebration will be running over the weekend of December 6 until 8. It will be hosted by the University of Alberta Botanic Gardens.
