Cocktails and animals in need addressed in Edmonton

Canines and Cocktails 2012 will take place at the Palace Banquet and Conference Facility at the beginning of November, with this year's theme being ‘Scar Wars’. The evening will feature a cocktail reception, a buffet-style dinner, and live and silent auctions. Proceeds go to benefit the Second Chance Animal Rescue Society (SCARS).

The event will be hosted by Paula Bissell and Shawn Molloy. Attending Canines and Cocktails will be a good chance for those who care for animals to enjoy an evening out with like-minded persons. While this is a social event, many Edmonton business leaders might want to arrange for business card printing before attending so they can hand out cards to those they might like to work with in the future. No doubt there will be some people in attendance who are involved in businesses that deal with animal-related products or services.

Local business professionals can help elevate their standing in the community by donating items to the live or silent auctions, since consumers tend to like to support those companies that show they care about the community in which they live. Sponsors can host a table for $320 and will receive tickets to the event, recognition in the event's advertising, a sign on the table they are sponsoring, and recognition from the event hosts.

The Second Chance Animal Rescue Society helps to find new homes for abused or stray animals. It is a no-kill center and often takes in animals that are slated to be put down. It will be supported by this event on November 2 from 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm, with tickets priced at $55.
