A unique masquerade to offer help to the Edmonton Zoo

The Carnivale of Carnivores will take place at Celtic Hall in October with proceeds going towards the revitalization of the Edmonton Valley Zoo. The event, which is presented by the Valley Zoo Development Society, will have a gypsy theme and everyone is encouraged to take part in the masquerade and dress to match the theme.

The King and Queen of the Gypsies will be holding court throughout the evening. Appetizers and signature cocktails will be served and there will be performances by the Vibe Tribe, who are fire dancers, and Arabesque Gymnastics will put on an acrobatic show. Guests will also be able to pose for pictures with birds of prey.

There will also be a live auction, a dance group performance, and large puppets. The main prize in the auction is an African safari. This should be a unique and exciting event which raises money for a very important cause, so Edmonton printing companies may well have had a hand in producing the tickets and various merchandizing products for this exciting event.

Taking place on October 27 from 6:30 pm - 11:00 pm, tickets are $125 and this is an 18 and over event. The Edmonton Valley Zoo is currently undergoing restoration to make it more comfortable for the animals and to encourage more visitors. Currently, the Valley Zoo Development Society is trying to raise $35 million to build the Nature's Own Backyard exhibit which will introduce young children to the animals and allow them to learn through playing.
